What you're seeing above is a paintover, all my work is done in photoshop. The particular 2 environments on the page above were roughly modeled from my 2D map layouts by a man named Jeff Edwards. I then dressed them up for our texture artists for reference. Almost all my compositions are free hand...this one is an exception.
