Speed Paintings at the end of April. approx 35-55 minutes each.
This Environment started off by being thumbnailed and then driven directly to Google Sketch Up. I used Sketch Up (SU) to create a composite background. The final SU scene I render out with varying lights and fog and then compose said scenes in Photoshop. From there it's a matter of texturing and filling in details. The modeling stage took about 1.5-2 hours.
Final Scene textured. This took approx. 8 hours
With the characters, seen below, I started with silhouettes and then moved into a rough clean up in Photoshop. Final Inking was done in Flash; on a side note I prefer Flash to Illustrator. Characters from start to finish took about 12 hours, that's from start (silhouettes) to finish.
